Camp Director


Specialization: Camp Director, supplemental training sessions, team trainer.

Mike co-founded Beestera Soccer Training in 2015 after graduating from Siena College. Growing up in Trumbull, Connecticut, Mike played at Beachside Academy for six years before being recruited by Siena. At Siena, Mike earned All-Rookie and All-Tournament Team honors while captaining the team. 

Mike briefly played professionally for the Western Mass Professional Soccer team in 2014 before turning his attention to the coaching aspect of the game. With a passion for soccer and teaching, Mike began his coaching career by assisting The College of Saint Rose Men's Soccer team and Premier Development Club Reading United AC, winning the 2016 Mid-Atlantic Championship.

From 2017-2019, Mike was the Graduate Assistant coach at Springfield College in Massachusetts while pursuing his masters degree in Physical Education. Whilst at Springfield, the team won the NEWMAC Conference championship in 2018, and played in first-round of the NCAA Tournament. 

Mike moved back to Albany in June 2019, to work full-time for Beestera.

Supplemental Training Director

Specialization: Head of supplemental training, marketing, team trainer

At Siena, James earned academic all-American honors, became the first two-time First Team All-conference selection in program history, and currently holds the all-time career assists for the program. After Siena, James played for the Western Massachusetts Professional Soccer Club, before becoming an assistant for the men's team at the College of Saint Rose, New York, and Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama where he obtained his Master's Degree in Leadership and Ethics.


James moved back to Albany in June 2018 to work for Beestera full-time, heading up the supplemental training aspect. James' ideas and methods have been published in Doug Lemov's Book 'The Coach's Guide to Teaching'

James co-founded Beestera with Mike in 2015. Obtaining his UEFA B coaching license at 19 years old, James knew he wanted a career in coaching once his playing days had finished. Born in Newcastle-under-Lyme, England, James played 13 years at the academy of Port Vale Football Club before coming to the United States in 2010 to play for Siena College.

Team Training Director

Specialization: Director of team training, supplemental trainer, financial aspects of the business

Matt joined Beestera in June 2017 after coaching locally in New York's Capital Region. A teammate of Mike and James at Siena, Matt's vision and ideology for player development aligned with that of Beestera's. Growing up in Sheffield, England, Matt played professionally for Chesterfield Football Club in England's third division before arriving at Siena in 2012, Matt earned All-Rookie Team honors while captaining the team in his Junior and Senior year.

After graduating from Siena, Matt  began his coaching career at local teams in the Albany area (Averill Park, Latham Circle, and Alleycats) before joining Beestera as a part-time coach. Matt was instrumental in planning and implementing clubwide training sessions for Brunswick Soccer Club and has been conducting sessions throughout the Capital Region since becoming a part of the Beestera team.

In March 2019, Matt moved to Hartford, Connecticut to expand the Beestera brand before moving back to Albany in November, 2020.




Specialization: Supplemental sessions, team trainer, camp coach

Josh joined Beestera in March 2019. Born and raised in Essex, England until he was eight years old, he moved to Vancouver, Canada for seven years before graduating high school in Buffalo, NY. After high school, Josh attended IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fl. From there he was recruited to play for Manhattan College at the NCAA Division I level. In his Junior year Josh joined the Manhattan College coaching staff as a player-coach while earning All-MAAC academic honors.

After Manhattan, Josh completed his Master’s Degree in Athletic Administration at the prestigious sporting institute Springfield College. While at Springfield, he conducted research and completed his thesis: “Enhancing Participation and Retention of Female Soccer Players from Low-income, Urban Areas”.


Josh holds a USSF C Coaching License and brings seven years of coaching experience working with both Storm Academy (New York, NY) and GPS Albany. 

Josh is currently a Physical Education teacher and Girls Varsity Soccer Coach at Albany High School.
